1. Platform Overview
Moving Guru Collective (“Moving Guru”) is a global digital platform that provides a network and online meeting place for individuals to connect and organise work, training, events, retreats, and related opportunities.
Moving Guru is not an employer, recruitment agency, booking agent, or labour hire provider.
We do not guarantee:
- Employment
- Income
- Work placements
- Business outcomes
- Any specific results from platform use
All arrangements are made directly between users.
2. Eligibility
Users must be 16 years or older to access the platform.
By using Moving Guru, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may suspend or delete accounts suspected of underage use.
3. Platform Role (Critical Legal Protection Clause)
Moving Guru is strictly a technology and networking platform only.
We:
- Do not employ users
- Do not verify all listings or users
- Do not control user agreements
- Do not supervise work or services
- Do not act as an intermediary in contracts between users
Users acknowledge they are solely responsible for all interactions, agreements, and outcomes.
4. Visa, Legal Work & User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for:
- Obtaining and maintaining valid visas
- Ensuring they have legal right to work in any jurisdiction
- Complying with local laws and regulations
- Assessing safety, legitimacy, and suitability of opportunities
Moving Guru accepts no liability for unlawful work arrangements between users.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
Moving Guru offers subscription plans including:
- 3-month membership
- 6-month membership
- 12-month membership
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
By subscribing, you authorise recurring payments via Stripe.
6. One-Off Listings & Paid Boosting
Users may purchase:
- One-off “Grow Notice Board” listings
- Paid post promotions or boosts to increase visibility
These fees are:
- Non-refundable unless required by law
- Separate from subscription fees
- Not guaranteed to result in engagement, views, or outcomes
7. Promotional Pricing
We may offer limited-time or legacy subscription pricing.
If a subscription is cancelled:
- The pricing plan is not preserved
- Re-subscription will be at current rates
- We are not obligated to reinstate historical pricing
8. Refund Policy
8.1 Fraud or unauthorised use
Refunds will be issued if:
- Payment was made fraudulently
- Card was stolen or used without authorisation
- Account was created or used by a minor under 16
Accounts may be permanently removed in these cases.
8.2 Vulnerable circumstances
We may provide refunds, credits, or pauses for:
- Job loss
- Family violence
- Serious illness or hardship
Each case is assessed individually and may result in partial or full adjustments.
8.3 Technical failure
Refunds apply if:
- User cannot access account
- Issue cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe
8.4 No refund situations
No refunds are provided where:
- User did not secure work or opportunities
- User changed their mind
- User did not use the platform
- User misunderstood platform function as a guarantee of results
9. Account Access & Cancellation
Users may cancel subscriptions at any time.
If access issues prevent cancellation, users may contact support. We will assist or apply appropriate billing adjustments.
10. User Content & Moderation
Users may post content including profiles and listings.
Users agree:
- Content must be lawful and accurate
- No impersonation or fraud
- No misleading opportunities
- No harassment or abusive behaviour
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.
11. Limitation of Liability (Investor-Grade Protection)
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Moving Guru is not liable for:
- User disputes
- Loss of income
- Personal injury
- Financial loss
- Damages arising from user interactions
- Third-party conduct
We provide the platform “as is” without guarantees of outcomes.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, the following process applies:
Step 1 — Internal resolution
Users must first contact Moving Guru at admin@movingguru.co
Step 2 — Good faith negotiation
Both parties agree to attempt resolution in good faith.
Step 3 — Mediation
If unresolved, the dispute will be referred to a mutually agreed independent mediator in Australia (or remote mediation for international users).
Step 4 — Arbitration (optional enforcement stage)
If mediation fails, disputes may proceed to binding arbitration under Australian law, unless prohibited by local jurisdiction.
Users agree not to initiate court proceedings unless arbitration is not legally enforceable.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Breach of terms
- Fraud or misuse
- Safety concerns
- Underage access
- Illegal activity
14. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, where legally applicable.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of changes.
